Pricing & fees

Last updated: July 15, 2026

Free to join. Transaction fees may apply to registrations and bookings.

Membership

Creating a Crownly account is free for contestants, parents and guardians, directors, and pageant professionals. There are no paid membership tiers or subscription plans at this time.

Pageant registrations

Directors set their own entry fees, optional categories, add-ons, and promo codes. Families pay the registration total shown at checkout. Listing pageants, managing rosters, and using director tools on Crownly is free. See how director tools work on Crownly.

Professional bookings

Professionals set prices for their services. Clients pay the amount shown when they book. Creating a professional profile and listing services on Crownly is free.

Crownly platform fee

Crownly charges a platform fee on successful registration and booking payments processed through Stripe. The current default rate is 5.00% of each payment. This fee is deducted from the payment before the director or professional receives their payout — it is not added on top of the price shown to families and clients at checkout.

Individual director organizations or professional accounts may have a different negotiated rate. Your exact rate appears in your Crownly payout settings and on checkout receipts where applicable.

Stripe processing fees

Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe charges card and bank processing fees according to Stripe's pricing for your account type and payment method. Under Crownly's Stripe Connect setup, Stripe processing costs are handled through the platform payment flow — directors and professionals receive their net payout after the Crownly platform fee and applicable Stripe fees.

See stripe.com/pricing for Stripe's published rates.

Who pays which fee

  • Families and clients pay the registration or booking total displayed at checkout (pageant fees set by the director, service prices set by the professional).
  • Directors and professionals receive the payment minus the Crownly platform fee and applicable Stripe processing fees.
  • Crownly does not charge a separate listing fee or monthly software fee to use the platform today.

Payout timing

After you complete Stripe Connect onboarding, registration and booking payouts are sent to your connected Stripe account. Payout timing follows your Stripe Express payout schedule (typically rolling transfers to your bank). You can view payout timing and history in your Stripe Express dashboard.

If Stripe onboarding is not complete, Crownly may hold payments on your behalf until your account is ready to receive payouts.

Refunds

Each pageant or service may include a refund policy set by the director or professional. That policy is shown before purchase when provided. Refunds are issued by the director or professional (or Crownly support when required) through the platform. When a payment is refunded, the Crownly platform fee and Stripe fees are reversed or adjusted according to Stripe's refund rules.

Chargebacks and disputes

Card disputes and chargebacks are handled through Stripe. Under Crownly's Connect configuration, the platform is responsible for payment losses and disputes. Directors and professionals should keep listings, pricing, and refund policies accurate to reduce disputes.

Premium options

Crownly does not currently offer paid premium memberships or upgraded account tiers. If that changes, we will publish updated rates here before they take effect.
